Are you interested in a private, small group Indigo Natural Dye-Learning Experience? Perfect for gatherings of all type -- baby showers, birthday parties, graduation, anniversary, bridal showers! Let's talk specifics and we can dye baby layette, bridal party robes, beach sarongs. Skies the limit! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Indigo is a fun and simple way to begin learning about the wide world of Natural Dyes. Derived from a humble plant, this Natural Dye has been gracing textiles around the world for centuries. And fabrics dyed with Indigo are safe and extremely delicate on the skin. In this 2-3 hour workshop, you will learn about the gentle to bold blues that Indigo is so well-known for. And we'll talk Indigo Vats, Natural Fibers, Shibori Basics and how to achieve different depths of Blue. You will: * Learn to shape your own, unique Shibori designs on cotton fabric (supplied). * Visit the Indigo Vat for multiple dips. * Bring small to medium-size fabric items from home (natural fibers only--cotton, linen, silk, wool, rayon, ramie, tencel, etc). * Perfect for breathing life back into old cotton dishtowels, pillowcases, or dye-over a stained natural-fiber favorite shirt or staring with fresh, new textiles and creating vibrant blues! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Come visit me at my home studio in the San Diego Mountains and learn the basics of: * Creating an Indigo Vat * Dyeing with Indigo * Deepening Blues * Oxidizing, Curing, and Rinsing Please contact me at ANINIdesigns@gmail.com to discuss what you're specifically interested in learning so I can tailor a class for you.
